No. VetGuide is an independent, community-built app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The app links to publicly available VA resources to help Veterans navigate them more easily.

Is VetGuide free?

Yes. VetGuide is completely free, ad-free, and does not require an account.

What information does VetGuide collect?

VetGuide does not collect any personal information. The app uses your device location only to identify the nearest VA facility — that data stays on your phone and is never transmitted to any server. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I install on Android?

Download the APK file from this page, open it on your phone, and tap Install. You may need to enable "Install from unknown sources" in your phone's Settings the first time.

Is there an iPhone version?

Not currently. Android is supported first because of lower distribution friction. An iPhone version is being considered.

How current is the state benefits information?

Last verified April 2026. State Veteran programs change frequently — always confirm current eligibility with your state Veterans Affairs office before making any decisions.

Who built this?

VetGuide is a community project. The app collects publicly available VA information into one mobile interface. It is a personal project intended to help Veterans, with no commercial interest.
